Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her role on House. Fox medical series, House. Her family was from Wayne and was raised in a strict Jewish tradition. At the age of 18, she moved in New York City to study at the Tisch School for the Arts. But very soon, she became active in the club scene and made enough noise to be seen by the media and concurrently, becoming aware of the devastating effect of AIDS. She then merged her fame and talent with her writing skills and composition abilities to create a show called Positive Me. The first time she was hired, she got her first position on MTV as the host of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. Following the end of the series, she started appearing in films and television productions initially in smaller parts, but gradually establishing her place as an actor.
