Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnnekymes were among the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born on the 23rd of July 1971 is a popular American bluegrass and country singer. Her age was just teen when she first entered the music world and was a winner of local contests at the age of 10 old and recording her debut album at 14 years old. She was signed in 1985 to Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. In 1989, she was asked to join Alison Krauss & Union Station who she is a part of.
