Kari Samantha (born on April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is an American actor and singer. Her career began when she was a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and also as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a car salesman. The youngest of three siblings. As a teenager She performed in nightclubs and would sneak out of the house to sing. Kari Wuhrer was an American model, singer and actor. Her acting career at the Wooster School at the age of 13 years old. Born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April her birthplace, she was raised there. Her father is both an German American policeman, as well as an auto salesman. Kari has three brothers and sisters. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was just a teenager. She would sneak out from home and perform. In the year she turned 13 old, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. Later, she enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first television break was in 1987's MTV's Remote Control.
