Chaka Khan

Chaka the Queen of Funk as she is also known she was an American record producer. Her career has stretched over five decades, she has won a total of ten Grammys. Billboard has ranked her as the 65th-most popular dancer of all time. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was exposed to jazz music by her grandmother from a young age. Her career began by performing with different bands. As time went on, she became a member of a group called Rufus. In the year 2000 she recorded her debut album together in the band. The following year, the group received their very first Grammy. In the following year, she was able to make her debut as a solo artist. She released her first self-titled album. In the following years, she released additional albums like "Echoes of a Time", "The Woman I am" and one track called "Funk It". The singer is also well-known for her charitable work. Chaka Khan Foundation, which was established to assist those with autism, including children and adults along with families that are struggling. Khan also works as actress on occasion.
