Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was the daughter Josephine Lab technician and John Ormond (a stockbroker) from Epsom, Surrey. She is the fifth of five children born to her parents. Her first performances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. She later attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After one year of art school , she was moved to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where she was graduated in 1988. Ormond made her first appearance on British TV's 1989 show Traffik. It focused on illegal heroin trade between Far East and the streets of Europe. Ormond was the heroin-addicted daughter of the character the Home Office minister working to fight heroin imports. This role received glowing reviews at the outset.
